Balsamic Burger Salad Keto

Who declared salads to be monotonous?A tasty take on the conventional healthy dinner or lunch option is this burger salad. The salad is made with the arugula for a base, and is then topped with crunchy red onions and creamy avocado, as well as a savoury ground beef patty and drizzles of the tart balsamic dressing! This salad is the perfect blend of flavours and will change the way you think about the salad games! Make this burger salad to serve for a meal or lunch!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz lean ground beef
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 1 tsp chilli powder
  • Salt and pepper as desired
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 4 cups arugula
  • 1/2 avocado (cubed)
  • 1/4 cup red onion (thinly chopped)

Directions

  1. Cook a cast iron skillet on moderate temperature. Add a drop of oil if necessary.
  2. In a large bowl put the beef onion powder, chilli powder, salt, and pepper as desired. Mix well and make patties.
  3. When the oven is ready Add the patties to the pan and cook for 4 to 5 minutes on each side or until they are cooked to your preference. Take them off and place them aside.
  4. Within a bowl combine the balsamic vinegar, the oil dijon mustard, and oil.
  5. Add salt and black pepper to your dish.
  6. Divide the arugula among plates and then add red onion and avocado.
  7. Mix the burger in and sprinkle on the dressing.
