How to Make This Hamburger Casserole Recipe

The Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1 (8 ounce) package egg noodles
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large white onion, finely diced
  • ½ cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese, or more to taste

Directions

  1. Cook the Pasta. Drain and drizzle with oil.
  2. Sauté the Vegetables. Use a large skillet.
  3. Cook. Stir in the garlic, hot sauce, and spices.
  4. Sauté the Ground Beef. Drain if needed.
  5. Add the Tomato Sauce. Let the ground beef mixture simmer.
  6. Stir in the Noodles, Yogurt, and Cheese. Almost there!
  7. Bake. Sprinkle cheese, panko, and green onions on top. Bake hamburger casserole for 15 minutes at 350 degrees F.
  8. Broil. Broil for 2 to 3 minutes. Let rest for a few minutes, add more green onions, and ENJOY!

  • To Freeze. Freeze leftovers in an airtight, freezer-safe storage container for up to 3 months. Let thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
