Garlic Butter Chicken Leg Piece

Garlic butter chicken legs are a great option for a quick dinner at home or a dinner party if you’re searching for a recipe for your chicken that’s a little fancier and tastier without requiring a lot of ingredients.Although this tasty recipe is great on its own, don’t be afraid to serve your tenders with some garlic butter, a crisp salad, or a side of chilled sauerkraut to give them a distinct taste and texture.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken thighs with skin
  • 1 tsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • Sea salt, pepper and as you like
  • 6 Cremini mushrooms about torn
  • 3 cloves of garlic, crushed and chopped roughly
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cups baby spinach

Directions

  1. Pre-heat the oven up to 425oF (218oC). Pat the meat dry using an absorbent paper towel. Rub the oil onto the skin of the chicken. Then add the salt and spice.
  2. In the cooking pan, and simmer (undisturbed) for 3 minutes at medium-high temperature. Reduce the heat to medium-low and then add the butter and garlic and toss until well-combined. Cook for a further 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the chicken broth as well as lemon juice. Stir to remove any browned pieces on the skillet. Put the chicken in the middle and place it in the oven to cook for 17 to 20 minutes or till the bird is fully cooked.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and put it aside. Bring the skillet back to medium-high heat and whisk the sauce until it begins to thicken and bubble over the course of about 2 minutes. In the same skillet, add the spinach and simmer until it is wilted approximately 1 – 2 minutes.
  5. In a cast-iron skillet, place it over moderately low heat. Once warm add the chicken skin side down.Cook up to 5 minutes. Then increase the heat to medium and cook skin-side-down for 8 minutes or until the meat is cooked.
  6. Then flip the chicken and cook for another two minutes, then transfer onto a plate, skin side down, and put aside and leave the oil behind the chicken’s skillet.
  7. Place the thighs of the chicken with garlic butter on a plate alongside the mixture of mushrooms and spinach and pour the sauce over it all. Enjoy!
