This is a high-fat, moderate-protein, low-crab, and nutrient-dense cow liver pate recipe!
If you’re not on strictly a carnivore-based diet, you can add spices such as rosemary, thyme garlic powder as well as black pepper. Take this liver pate by itself as well with celery sticks, keto bread and keto-friendly crackers!

PREPARATION TIME: 10 mins, COOKING TIME: 3 mins, TOTAL TIME: 13 mins
Ingredients:
- 8 oz beef liver
- 6 tbsp ghee or duck fat (if dairy-free)
- 1/2 tsp salt
Directions:
- Optional: soak the liver in milk or brine made of saltwater prior to cooking.
- In a medium-sized skillet put about half the amount of ghee. Let it melt it over moderate temperature. If you are adding minced garlic, include it now.
- If the liver isn’t trimmed cut the connective tissue, then cut the tissue into strips.
- The strips from liver to the pan, and sear each side for 60 to 90 seconds.
- Take the organs out of the pot and let it completely cool (about 10 to 15 minutes).
- Incorporate the cooked liver into the blender or food processor, and mix until it is smooth.
- Incorporate the remaining ghee, butter from a duck, the salt as well as any other seasonings, and mix.
- Place the liver pate in air-tight containers. Place it in the refrigerator overnight to thicken.
