Is it possible to drop one hundred pounds (45 kg), increase energy, and develop an interest in working out with a ketogenic diet? Indeed! The low-carb, high-fat (LCHF) diet is to blame for Kendra’s experiences with all of these things.
“I’ve never been closer to my target weight! I’m full of energy to spend with my kids,” Kendra declares.
This is Kendra’s motivational tale, which has been condensed for length and clarity.
Kendra’s adventure with keto
I’m 32 years old, from the US Midwest, and go by Kendra.
In April 2018, I began a ketogenic diet. I’ve shed more than 100 pounds (45 kg) since then!
It wasn’t easy at first. In the past, I would eat too many snacks, sweets, and fast food. My serving amounts were excessive.
I realized that not only was I setting myself up for health issues, like diabetes, congestive heart failure, and high blood pressure that run in my family, but I was setting my children up for the same.
I made the decision to give up. A buddy informed me about the keto diet and her success, so I started the next day.
Nowadays, I cook at home, and we seldom dine out. I can now prepare a wide range of delectable and healthful meals. I can convert almost any recipe to keto. I’ve also included sporadic fasting. Most days, my eating window is 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., and at least once a week, I eat ‘one meal a day’ (OMAD).
I have, of course, occasionally consumed high-carb items, but doing so has only helped me to understand that my body just isn’t compatible with them. For me, low-carb is the greatest option.
I have energy to spend time with my children, and I’ve discovered that exercising – both cardio and strength training – is a fun and effective method to relieve stress.
Apart from following the ketogenic diet, I exercise five or six days a week. I was just under 300 pounds (136 kg) at my heaviest weight, and I’m now closer than ever to reaching my target weight! I have energy to do things with my children, and I’ve discovered that exercising – both cardio and weight training – is joyful and a terrific way
help ease tension.
Exercise, in my opinion, is an essential component of retaining your health intact, regardless of what sort of diet you follow. It increases muscular mass, helps burn fat, and fortifies your heart. Find something you like, then get up and move!
I advise anyone interested in pursuing a ketogenic diet to conduct their homework. Don’t dive right in. Instead, select the items you can consume, understand about the keto flu, and carry some snacks for social occasions.
Also, almost every product at the grocery store has sugar, so read the labels. And please, do study prior using some keto medication. You can get by without taking any vitamins.
enter the state of ketosis. That’s something your body performs on its own. Have faith in the procedure!
I appreciate your thoughts and time.
