The low-carb diet: The lifesaver when weight returned following bariatric surgery

Daiane has struggled over losing weight for years, even undergoing bariatric surgery. After the procedure, she started gaining weight, so she started looking for answers elsewhere. She discovered this, and it altered the course of her life:

Hi there

I’m 36 years old and go by Daiane. I am a nurse working in public health in Santa Catarina, Brazil’s southernmost state. I have to thank you for your website, which has helped many individuals lose weight in a healthy and simple manner.

I was never able to stick to a diet or lose weight.
In my college education, I learned about calorie-restricted diets and so I spent my life fighting the scales. I would constantly lose weight, only to gain it back later. I was never able to stick to a diet or lose weight. I was fat and weighed 130 kg (287 lbs) for my height of 170 cm (5’5″). I had bariatric surgery in 2010 after failing miserably at dieting. After the procedure, I shed a lot of weight, reaching 70 kg (154 lbs) in 2012. I got the weight back three years after the procedure. Restricting portions was the only thing surgery taught me about eating. When my body began handling bigger amounts of food, I began to regain weight, reaching 94 kg (207 lbs) in 2015.
After eight months of delicious food, I weighed 65 kg (143 lbs).
At that point, I made a decision to alter! I began researching insulin and carbs and began implementing all I had learned. Without hunger and solely by eating deliciously for eight months, I achieved 65 kg (143 lbs) and have maintained this weight ever since. The visual guidance on the website makes things so much easier, which is why it was so helpful! I’ve been on this diet for the past twelve months, so I want to stay on it forever! If I could, I would tell the entire world how easy it is to lose weight and keep it off without making any compromises, simply by eating tasty and gratifying foods. Regretfully, as a nurse, I witness that several colleagues in the healthcare are outdated and yet lead patients in the incorrect direction. Even though I find this disgusting and depressing, I still contribute. I mentor others and set an example for others whenever I can.
Congratulations on your website, and once again, I appreciate your assistance!
Daiane
